Silk Shantung is a plain weave fabric, similar to Dupioni but slightly thinner and less irregular. Less prominent slubs, more uniform in texture, made on machines instead of hand woven. The high quality yarn used in this fabric is generally from China. This Silk is considered an excellent choice for interior decorating and elegant evening wear.
